Well… this week, the energy is shifting and shifting! Mars is now retrograde. It went retrograde on Monday, January 23rd AND that took place right after a big, juicy New Moon. This Mars retrograde period is unusually long – it’s going to last for nearly three months, returning to direct motion in mid-April! So these several weeks will be a time to finish old projects and work on any issues that have been hanging fire…
We should also be on the lookout for new ways of stepping forward and even being approached by others in a new way. Opportunities are on the horizon moving into February – but more about that next week in SkyeWatch!
This is a much happier Mars retrograde than we’ve seen in a while because it’s receiving some very positive aspects – so just take a good look at the opportunities as they begin arriving! Just say a good long “maybe!”
Another shift occurs this week as Mercury enters Aquarius until February 13th – so we’ll be given the gift of some detached focus and objectivity – a very good thing to go hand in hand with this Mars retrograde and new opportunities! We’ll be original and able to think outside the box – though our communications might take on a direct bluntness, so we should tread a little softer if there’s something that needs to be said in interpersonal relationships!
If that’s not enough energy shifting for us, on Friday, February 3rd, dreamy Neptune enters dreamy Pisces until March 30, 2025! The last time Neptune was in Pisces was from 1847-1861, and after this current Pisces journey, it won’t travel through Pisces again until 2175-2190.
For this decade or so of Neptune in Pisces, we can expect more empathy, creativity – and a new form of intuition and increased psychic abilities to envelop all of us. Mysticism and compassion – and connecting with each other in deep and imaginative ways – will be in the air. And since it takes about 12-14 years for Neptune to move through a sign, these changes will waft over us somewhat slowly – and maybe almost magically…
And… next week things could start to get really exciting and could bring about those unexpected opportunities I mentioned earlier… but more about that in next week’s SkyeWatch!

Aries
You’ll be given an opportunity to catch up or rework your health and work situations. Release what you don’t need now to make room for big new beginnings after mid-April.
Taurus
Love, creative projects, and children could be your focus. You could also reconnect or revisit – and clean up if necessary – any of those areas.
Gemini
You could be redoing something in or around your home base – and even readdressing and releasing issues, anger, or passions with people connected with these places.
Cancer
You’ll have opportunities to revisit words or interactions lingering from the past. You may also be receiving communication from people from the past.
Leo
Income will get a second look now. You can revisit past actions and may have a financial opportunity resurface that you thought was gone forever.
Virgo
You may find yourself re-doing yourself! You can also revisit a personal goal, change your image, and release anger or irritation in your life. Big changes will be arriving after April 13th.
Libra
You may return to a spiritual pursuit and reclaim your intuition. You may also connect with someone from the past in a private or secretive way.
Scorpio
Friends and/or associates from the past will be re-entering your life. You’ll have the opportunity to re-do or re-think past actions with friends and begin new.
Sagittarius
You’ll be reworking your career and goals now. You may take a look at re-energizing a past project or reconnecting with a person involved with your career.
Capricorn
Travel or learning may take you back to your past for reworking or re-learning. People or places at a distance could also resurface – and you’ll be reconsidering ways to expand your world.
Aquarius
Financial matters and/or deep passions may present themselves or reconnect with you. Someone from your past may need to be released so you can move forward.
Pisces
