So… we’ve got the wind at our backs, we’re holding onto our hats, here’s the week ahead beginning on Sunday, November 13^th, 2011…

Well… on Thursday, November 10, Mars slipped from enthusiastic Fiery Leo and dropped to the ground as he moved into Earthy Virgo.  Mars stays in Virgo an unusually long time because he’ll retrograde in Virgo from January 23^rd until April 13^th…  that’s NINE lonnnng months – if we’re counting that is!

 

We’ll suddenly be getting out those to-do lists and maybe getting a little more practical for the next NINE months.  And we should be able to accomplish a LOT!

 

Plus, we’re now officially in Mercury Retrograde shadow – of Mercury’s last Retrograde of 2011.  The shadow period actually began on November 6^th – and the official retrograde begins on November 24^th and ends on December 13^th.   So this is prime duck-lining-up time to ensure life moves as smoothly as possible for the last weeks of November till mid-December….

And so we start off the week on Wednesday, November 13^th, with the “Event of the Week” – a triple conjunction of Communicator Mercury, Venus and the North Lunar Node.  What this basically means is that our hearts and heads are seeing what’s possible in a very big way for our lives.

 

And our ideas, beauty, love, and joy are more noticeable – and being noticed – by others now.  So, we should be watching for people coming into our lives who can help us achieve a heart’s desire. We’re going to be VERY attractive and magnetic this week – so as the old saying goes, we should be extra careful what we wish for – because it’s very, very possible that we’ll get it!

 

This could be a time when we begin a new journey to love or beauty in our lives.  We might begin a new relationship, be led to a new job, or begin a delicious voyage to create a more beautiful world – or a more beautiful ‘us’.  So, if the urge strikes to move along any of those lines, don’t ignore it!  It could be Fate knocking at our doors!

 

Then on Wednesday, November 16^th, Mars – now quite analytical – will form a flowing trine aspect to expansive Jupiter, and we can expect to experience more energy – and maybe even some extra assertiveness – or even aggression – surrounding or within us.  On the positive side, we can be motivated and confident.  And, if strong, high energy is comfortable for us, we’ll be in a position to thrive.  If, however, we generally feel intimidated by Mars’ energy and/or afraid of anger, we should be alert that this energy is out there and be prepared for it.  But this can be an expansive, productive time to make huge strides and progress in our plans and projects.  And a great time to get out and mingle – we could meet just the person, or find just the job, we’ve been hoping and longing for!

And now this week, I want to talk about how Mars’ long travels through Virgo will be affecting  each sign.  And as always, this will apply to your Sun sign and Ascendant/Rising sign if you know it…

Aries

Expect big energy and big drive to ignite your finances.  You may also find extra income arriving and/or may be making money and going after new income making opportunities – and with big enthusiasm!

 

Taurus

Creativity and passion will be surrounding you for the next several months – and fun and personal pleasure could get fun and fiery, too.  This is a time for you to thoroughly enjoy!

Gemini

Expect your home and family life to get very busy.  You’ll be all about getting things done at home, making a big move, or even doing some renovating.  Big progress can be made now.

Cancer

Energetic ideas and communications will be surrounding you.  Writing, meetings, and messages you’ve been waiting for will be arriving – and expect a LOT of them!

Leo

Well… Mercury turned direct last Friday, August 26^th – thankfully – and we’ll all be feeling forward movement this week.  Mercury has been retrograde since August 2^nd and it’s kind of been a tougher than usual retrograde period.  Mercury was making some intense aspects, and especially an opposition to Neptune, which seriously added to the confusion. And over these next few days, we’ll find ourselves reaching some clearer decisions relating to any roadblocks or issues thrown in the mix.  At the very least, we’ll have a new perspective to move forward with!

 

This week also brings us a powerfully helpful New Moon in Virgo, and giant Jupiter slows and begins his own retrograde period, this time in Taurus.

 

All in all, this week offers some new beginnings for us…

So we start off the week on Sunday, August 28^th, with the New Moon in Virgo.

The next two weeks are a good time for new beginnings in health, organizing our daily lives and routines, getting organized and assisting others – and allowing others to assist us!  This Virgo New Moon is also forming scrumptious trines to powerful Pluto in Capricorn and expansive Jupiter in Taurus.  This aspect is called a grand trine and this one can assist us on our paths to give and receive substantial assistance and growth.  And since Virgo is a hard-working and productive sign, hard work will reap the biggest rewards for us now.   Virgo is also a sign concerned with health and well-being, so this is a perfect time for us to step up or initiate an exercise program and turn our attention to a healthier eating routine.

 

And also on Sunday, August 28^th, the Sun will be trining potent Pluto and this will add to our sense of purpose and power.  We’ll be feeling strong and personally powerful – and we’ll want to keep in mind that there’s no need to overdo.  A little of us will go a long way!  And if we’ve been needing or wanting to make some changes in a situation that might have felt impossible or overwhelming, this energy  could give us the strength to stand up to it…

Then late Monday night, August 29^th, succulent Venus trines giant Jupiter and our attention will be drawn to new opportunities, financial and creative, as well as relationships. Help can arrive for us now – in whatever area we need it.  It’s all about love, relationships and money, and social and business relationships – and our timing will be perfect.  We should be ready to meet our public – or go find them!

 

And on Tuesday, August 30^th, expansive Jupiter turns retrograde in Taurus until December 25^th.  This will give us time to take a step back and take a look at projects and money – and how to connect with more joy and celebration in our lives over these next few months.

 

And finally this week, on Friday, September 2^nd, the radiant, life-giving Sun will form a welcome flowing trine to abundant Jupiter, giving us even more support.  Since both the Sun and Jupiter are in earthy signs, Virgo and Taurus respectively, our progress will have a decidedly practical focus.  It’s a time of planting our futures… so we should take full advantage and plant those beautiful gardens!

So… we’ve got the wind at our backs, we’re holding onto our hats, here’s the week ahead beginning on Sunday, August 14^th, 2011…

Well… this week we do have more intensity ahead with a rare triple conjunction of the Sun, Mercury and Venus, Mars forming a powerful conjunction to the July 1^st Solar Eclipse point – and, of course, the communicator Mercury still being retrograde. So, we should definitely be expecting some potent intensity – and maybe a few more upheavals, both in our personal lives and on the world scene – but also some luscious opportunities!

And so we start off on Tuesday, August 16^th, with that triple conjunction of the Sun, Venus, and Mercury… and this rare triple conjunction can bring us lots of interesting – and fun – conversations and communications. And with Mercury being retrograde, we’re actually in the midst of planning, consciously or otherwise, for moving forward after Mercury moves direct at the end of August. And this alignment is so close in proximity, it’s especially strong, so we should use it consciously if we can!

 

With the Sun dancing cheek to cheek with Venus, it would be difficult for us NOT to radiate love, beauty and pleasure – and the energy of joy could be right at the fingertip of our hearts. Diplomacy will come easily now if we should find ourselves in a negotiating situation. And we’ll have a very strong ability to manifest and attract our heart’s desire. You know the old saying, be careful what you wish for because you could get it? Well, that’s pretty much the flavor of the day! And this energy will actually splash over into a day or so on either side. So we should definitely be alert – and wallow in it!

 

And since retrograde Mercury also conjuncts Venus this same day, communications can shine for us. And creativity will abound.

 

Then on this very same day, Tuesday, August 16^th, the radiant Sun gets into the act with retrograde Mercury, and we have a new beginning in relation to communication and ideas. If we find our consciousnesses shifting, let them! This is the midpoint of the Mercury retrograde cycle, and we could be on the receiving end of some real ah-ha moments…a very good thing! Sudden new, out of the blue, awareness could drop right into our laps today.

 

Then, Wednesday, August 17^th, fiery Mars will conjunct the July 1^st Solar Eclipse point, and will likely reactivate the energy of that Eclipse. So, if we think back to what was happening around the beginning of July, we’ll have a pretty good idea, and understanding, of the energy that will be recurring. This connection of Mars with the Solar Eclipse Point can offer us an opportunity to let go of some of the issues we may have been dealing with over the last couple of months. It may also find us making decisions – or at least seeing what decisions need to be made. However, on the other hand, it could bring a time of some volatility when old issues resurface for resolution…but no matter what, this is definitely a potent and powerful energy, and day.

 

Then finally, on Thursday, August 18^th, Mars will form a scrumptious sextile aspect of opportunity with bountiful Jupiter, and we’re being offered the chance to stretch and reach – and move forward with our plans and projects. Optimism and increased energy will be there for us, which can elevate our energy and get things moving all around us. We’ll certainly want to make use of this delicious aspect!

Well… Mercury officially turns retrograde – I know, I know… oh not again! Didn’t we just do this you say? Yes, indeedy – but Mercury does this boogie three or four times every year.  And as the communication planet Mercury turns retrograde in analytical Virgo, we’re being offered an opportunity to do detailed planning from August 2^nd through August 26^th.  And during the retrograde, we should absolutely positively live our lives, but ideally we’ll want to wait until after Mercury turns direct – and after the August New Moon on the 28^th to begin our new important plans if we can!

Also, this week fiery Mars enters watery Cancer – not always the most comfortable place for the warrior planet….retrograde Neptune returns to Aquarius for the remainder of 2011

And so we start off the week on Sunday, July 31st with scrumptious Venus forming a flowing trine aspect to unique Uranus and we can be original now…and SHOULD be!  Exciting experiences may also come knocking – so open that door!

And then on Monday, August 1st, the effervescent Leo Sun squares off with expansive Jupiter and very big creative expression can be ours.   However, there might be a tendency to overdo – in just about everything.  So, we should revel in the optimism that will fill the air, but at the same time at least TRY to be thoughtful in our exuberance!

Then, the Biggie Day of the Week comes upon us on Tuesday, August 2^nd, when Mercury officially begins his retrograde dance…  It’s time now to review revise and reflect.  However, Mercury retrograde in Virgo can make us more logical.  Also, we should recognize that whatever decisions we make during this time will probably be reviewed and revised at a later date!  And, as we know, communications can get snarled, computers can put their feet down and refuse to perform, and the best laid plans can seem to go completely awry…. And, starting major new projects or making major, large ticket  purchases would likely be better after Mercury turns direct at the end of August.  Backing up important data and paying special attention to travel details, remaining flexible, and taking care to communicate clearly are also good ideas  However, this is an excellent time for reviewing plans, making repairs, and completing projects.  This will be an excellent time to tend to unfinished business, dust off old ideas and writings in particular.  And making note of the great ideas that will be popping into our consciousness so we’re ready to hit the ground running with them after the end of August.

Then on Wednesday, August 3^rd, Mars wades into watery Cancer and trines Neptune and we can practically feel the energy shift.  Security will become more upfront and important now.  Our actions will be influenced by our desire for safety.  Protectiveness and probably a little more caution will likely be the energy for a few weeks.  Using a dash of subtlety will be the way to get what we want now!  We should also be paying attention to our deeper feelings, hunches and instincts.  Act only when it FEELS right, but no overreacting – as much as possible anyway.
…and just as Mars enters Cancer, he forms a magical trine to Neptune in Pisces – and we should open ourselves to possibilities and make the most of this aspect by embracing those wonderful ideas of ours. So, yes, we should open ourselves up to the possibilities, but with Mercury currently retrograde, not act on them – not quite yet!

And then…Thursday, August 4^th, is another very busy day… retrograde Neptune returns to Aquarius for the remainder of 2011, Mercury Sextile Mars, and Venus Squares Jupiter…

Since Aquarius is the sign that rules the community and the larger world, we’re being given yet one more opportunity to contribute to the greater good – and dream a bigger dream.  Our lives can open in surprising ways over these next few months – and in ways that can affect us all!  So we need to LET them!

And with the energy of Mercury dancing with Mars, and Venus with Jupiter today, breaks and opportunities for openings in communication, love and/or money can appear for us  Things can run smoothly today so we should make hay while the sun shines!

And finally, on Friday, August 5^th, the outgoing Sun Sextiles ambitious Saturn and pulling back can be a good thing now.  Stability will be with us, and we won’t need to rush our plans.  This can be a very good thing right now!

Aries

Take care around your work and daily routines.  Allow more flexibility and spend some time re-thinking and refining your daily schedule.  This will also be a great time to reconsider and revamp your fitness and health routines. 

Taurus

Re-think what you do for fun and pleasure now.  Romance, creativity and/or children can stall or need some adjusting.  But someone from the past may make a return appearance!  Keep your eyes and heart open!

Gemini

Home and family matters may come up for revision.  Taking good care with communications can avert misunderstandings.  Adjustments at home may be necessary but communicating clearly and specifically can be of great benefit.  Double check arrangements for any possible home repairs.

Cancer

Be extra careful with communications over these three weeks.  Dealings with neighbors or siblings may snarl. And make sure your vehicle maintenance is up to date!  You may also receive some information from the past.

Leo

Pay attention to financial details.  Dot all the i’s, and cross all the t’s before making any financial plans or commitments.  Think before spending.  Payments may be delayed, but you may also re-consider a possible new source of income!

Virgo

Adjustments to your Self, your beliefs – even your appearance may arise.  Your personal life is up for a re-think.  And at the end of the month any remaining doubts or fog will clear and you’ll move forward in a rush!

Libra

People or issues from the past may come up for review and re-examination.  Communicate clearly with friends and groups to avoid misunderstandings.  And pay attention to your dreams.  They’ll be speaking to you loud and clear.

Scorpio

Communicate clearly with friends and groups to avoid misunderstandings.  You may also find yourself rethinking your hopes and wishes.  A new door will be opening in about three weeks.  And an old friend may return to you now.

Sagittarius

Your career is being spotlighted.  Be sure to speak clearly and concisely with superiors and co-workers. You may also re-think career direction. Look to possible reconfiguration, reassignment, or adjustments in this area.  New movement may arrive by the end of August.
