So… we’ve got the wind at our backs, we’re holding onto our hats, here’s the week ahead beginning Sunday, April 17^th, 2011…

Well, as usual, we’re looking at some very powerful shifts and changing energies coming up this week.  Among other things, 

 

Mars faces off with Saturn – and these two planets are still part of that Grand Cardinal Cross or Climax we all grew to love from last summer.  This one could bring up some tempers…

 

Communicator Mercury will (finally it seems!) turn direct this week in Aries,

the life-giving Sun moves into lush Taurus,

Venus gets feisty in Aries, and…

 

On Sunday, April 17^th, we have the third Super Moon in a row – and this time it’s a Super Full Moon in Libra – which happens at the same time fiery Mars and the still retrograde Mercury will be conjunct, and together facing off with Saturn – AND squaring off with Pluto.   So, while a Libra Full Moon is usually a time of finding balance in partnerships and marriage – we may see a few more challenges or conflicts with this one.  And the energy of this one, of course, will be with us for the next couple of weeks. 

 

Then Monday, April 18^th, the energy of the Mars/Saturn opposition is at our doorsteps.  We’ll be feeling this one for about a week before and after this date though, and it can bring success through hard work – and/or, in the alternative, it can bring us immovable objects we feel we absolutely MUST push against.  And if we insist on ramming that object without thinking, we’ll lose….and the object will win.  It will be essential for these two or three weeks, and especially today, to use boundaries and limitations – and hard work to recognize and get where we want to go.

 

 

Then on Tuesday, April 19^th, Mercury will be conjunct Mars.  There are a lot of possibilities with this one!  We can experience this one as our minds and thoughts being on fire and our plans ignited…. but it can also bring in the energy of arguments – and even accidents, especially with vehicles – so we should be careful there!  However, good use of this combination would be to get ready to hit the ground running after Mercury turns direct on April 23^rd.

 

 

And on Wednesday, April 20^th, the radiant Sun enters lush Taurus through May 20^th and we can begin to sense an unfolding energy, tranquility, and a groundedness in our lives.  This energy can bring some needed blossoming to our plans – but with all the other challenging aspects around us, we’ll want to be sure that Taurus’ grounded determination and willpower doesn’t turn into stubbornness.  We may also be less open to change over this month, but the Taurus Sun can bring some needed earthiness into our lives.  The finer things in life, even fresh flowers, will assist in opening our hearts now – and even planting in the garden or a pot will bring this thriving energy to us.

 

 

And the Taurus Sun also makes a delicious sextile aspect of opportunity with mystical Neptune today.   Inspired creativity and an active connection to our Higher Selves will come easy now.  Being in nature, even just sitting under a tree, can open doors of abundance to us.

 

 

Also on Wednesday April 20^th,  Venus moves into fiery Aries where she’ll remain through May 15^th.  Venus sizzles in Aries, and we’ll have energy to burn in all things Venus – and that’s money, beauty and love, passion, music, and creativity of all kinds – all of these things will be on fire for us.  Physical activity, and direct, spontaneous action will move us toward our goals, especially in finances and love.

 

 

And on Friday, April 4^th, Venus will make an unsettling – or exciting – connection with surprising Uranus.  At the very least, we’ll ready to try something new!  And since Venus is involved, our finances could also be involved, so we may want to take care not to fall in love with that must-have, bright and shiny object if it’s going to drain our budgets!

 

 

Then the day a lot of us have been waiting for, Saturday, April 23^rd, Mercury finally goes direct – and finally opening the door for our new projects.   However, our plans may feel a little stalled because, remember, Mercury is turning direct opposite Saturn.  But we can still expect our communications and plans to get going quickly in fast, decisive ways in just a few days.

Now… this week, I want to talk about this Super Full Moon in Libra, and how eac sign may experience it… And as always, this will apply to your Sun sign and Ascendant/Rising sign if you know it…

Aries

Since Full Moons bring closures and endings, you may find that some relationships either end – or that some parts of them end – so that something can become new in your life.  It will be important for you to find balance between your needs and the needs of “important others” in your life.

Taurus

Your work, daily routine and health are ready for balancing.  Taking care of business literally can smooth the way to new starts for you.  Some conclusion can finally occur in your work that brings a renewal. And be sure to take care of your health and fitness needs now.  That will pay big dividends for you!

So… we’ve got the wind at our backs, we’re holding onto our hats, here’s the week ahead beginning Sunday, March 27^th, 2011…

Well, this week we’ve got more dramatic energy shifts … Venus will be showing us her softer side as she’s just moved into dreamy Pisces.  However, this week we’re also looking at the Sun squaring off with Pluto – AND Jupiter facing off with Saturn.  And if that’s not enough, our little fleet-footed friend Mercury will be standing in apparent stillness as he begins another three-week retrograde cycle – basically at the same time that fiery Mars moves into his own sign of Aries – where he’ll be meeting up with explosive Uranus… whoa!

 

Plus, in this month of March we have two major outer planetary bodies changing signs – Uranus into Aries for the first time in 84 years – and next week Neptune moves into Pisces for the first time in over 150 years!  Neptune has been traveling through independent Aquarius for the last 14 years – so think back to ’96 or ’97 and see what shifted then, because it’s shifting again.  The wonderful thing here is that Neptune in his own sign of Pisces is the most spiritual placement of any planet/sign combination.  The veils are thinning now.  And deep soul connectedness is rising.

And we’re also headed into a powerful time next week with the New Moon in Aries which will connect with the powerful Jupiter/Saturn opposition… Pluto will be turning retrograde – and Neptune will be making his change, too.  Some good news – finally – is that we can expect the energy of inspiration, idealism and spirituality to arise with Neptune in Pisces… that’s a very good thing right about now, don’t you think?!

Much more about all of these coming attractions in the next SkyeWatch, but for now let’s take a look at the week ahead of us!

Now, we start off the week on Sunday, March 27^th, with luscious Venus moving into dreamily mystical Pisces where she’ll travel until April 21^st… This very delicious placement can bring us the possibility of enormous creativity, heart-centered love, and compassion.  Poetry – intentional or otherwise – can envelope us.  We’ll be feeling deeply now in watery Pisces and can experience love and beauty, inspiration and harmony.  We’ll be letting our emotional barriers down now and feel a deep connection to those we love – and actually to all that’s around us. We can strengthen the bonds of our relationships now, and move from Venus’s travel through friendship-oriented Aquarius to the soul connection of Pisces.  We’ll be feeling more than talking now – and allowing our hearts to open will be a very good thing.

 

Artists of all kinds, writers, musicians, and craftsmen, will be in a magical element.  We’ll want to allow ourselves to be receptive on a soul level, but not give away the farm!  We may feel so open-hearted and compassionate that we can be vulnerable to disappointment in others, or outright deception.  So, we should be open – but not foolish!  Beautiful music, art, and soft sensual moments will be just the healing touch we’ve been needing and waiting for… Fortunately, this energy will be around us till April 21^st… because the rest of the week, starting with Monday, March 28^th, can be more than a little challenging for us.

 

And on Monday, March 28^th, Jupiter in Aries will oppose Saturn in Libra – AND the Sun in Aries will square off with Pluto in Capricorn.

Think of all this energy as essentially a tug of war between the giant expansive, freedom-seeking Jupiter, and careful, responsible, and powerfully determined Saturn.  This is another one of those ouch moments.  Something has to give.

 

And remember, these two giants are part of the group that made up the Cardinal Cross, or Cardinal climax that we experienced last August, 2010, and we can expect it to be drawing in some of that Cardinal Cross energy again.   Fortunately, this is the final passage of this transit, but during this period of time we’ll probably be faced with using what we learned last year.  We may find ourselves needing to reorganize – essentially and finally – so that old doors can be broken down and new opportunities can be allowed to come into our lives.   And it’s possible that things could get turbulent, disorderly, confused, and a little chaotic, especially if we haven’t done our homework.  The wake-up call could be kind of rude – but ultimately it’s bringing newness and good to our lives!

 

And with the Sun squaring off with Pluto on the same day, this is NOT the day to force any issue that we don’t absolutely have to.  If we butt our heads into a brick wall, we can probably already guess who’ll win…  We can, however, feel deeply determined to succeed.  And we can.  But for today, it will be to our benefit to take a deep breath – and wait for a better moment to act.

 

And then, on Wednesday, March 30^th, Mercury begins his retrograde cycle, also in fiery, impulsive Aries, until April 23^rd… When Mercury is retrograde its typically a better course of action just to rethink, rehash, reflect, and tie up old loose ends – than beginning new endeavors.  And it’s also a perfect time to research, review, repair, revise, and reassess – any of the “re-“ words work here!  We should also be flexible in our schedules and travel, re-read all the fine-print, leave lots of time for “re-scheduled” appointments – and if at all possible, avoid signing contracts, buying big-ticket items, especially vehicles and computer equipment – and put off significant decisions until after Mercury returns to direct motion.  Actually, I’d wait about a week or so after the exact date Mercury turns direct.  Of course, life doesn’t always comply with our – or Mercury’s – schedule, so we should absolutely live our life – just be sure to keep the receipts and phone numbers handy!   And with Mercury in aggressive Aries, we should also be prepared for the unexpected to bolt into our lives with more than a little speed.

 

Then on Friday, April 1^st, sizzling Mars will move into blazing Aries, until May 11^th…and our thoughts, feelings, and plans will be sizzling, too!  Passion, enthusiasm, and assertiveness will be hard to contain for the next few weeks.  Coupled with Mercury retrograde in Aries, however, we may need to be especially alert to that fast, forward, impulsive energy – and NOT give in to rash actions – might not be easy for us to do either!   We CAN make this time work, though, if we can focus the energy into a goal we’re passionate about!  We’ll be courageous and brave now….  No recklessness though!  And NO SPEEDING!  Retrograde Mercury just loves to give out speeding tickets!

 

And finally, on Saturday, April 2^nd, romantic Venus with form a 60 degree aspect of opportunity with deep, intense Pluto, and our close relationships can go deeper, and become more authentic.  And our creative natures can take a powerful turn.  We should also be alert and watch for opportunities to come to us from hidden or unexpected sources, and be ready to take full advantage of them!

 

An ancient Chinese proverb says, “May you live in interesting times” – and we’re certainly doing that!  Wouldn’t you say?!

Aries

Your personal life is up for a re-think. Adjustments to your Self, your beliefs – even your appearance may arise.  Don’t be hasty in making changes in your personal life.  Take your time and consider all angles carefully.

Taurus

Secrets may be discovered or revealed.  Don’t act immediately on any new information.  Think it through first.  And you may also find people returning to you from somewhere in the past for review or re-examination.

Gemini

Friends or groups may cause or bring misunderstandings.  Communicate clearly with friends and associates to avoid unnecessary disagreements.  You may also find old friends or associates from the past returning to your circle.

Cancer

You may find yourself rethinking your career direction.  Just think about it for now.  Act later on!  And also be sure to speak clearly and concisely with superiors and co-workers to avoid creating problems that may need to be cleared up later.

Leo

There could be some unexpected opportunities presented to you for travel or learning.  But be sure to double check plans, especially when traveling.  You may find yourself reconsidering creative goals that have been on your wish list.

Virgo

Matters related to joint income, taxes, inheritances or other people’s money could return for another look.  Consider offers carefully.  Read any fine print and, if you can, wait before making any decisions about finances, especially if they involve others.

So… we’ve got the wind at our backs, we’re holding onto our hats, here’s the week ahead…and this then is for the week beginning Sunday, February 20^th, 2011…

…and this week, we’re still carrying the energy of the intensely powerful Jupiter-Pluto square from Friday, February 25th, and now we have a mystical New Moon in Pisces, Venus gets independent as she changes signs – and juicy opportunities abound for us…and here we go!

Sunday and Monday, February 27^th and 28^th, the Moon travels through Capricorn and makes a couple ouchy aspects to Saturn and Pluto – which could dampen our moods a bit… all in all a day to side step emotional confrontations and power plays, but it does offer some good opportunities for business planning or super-rational decision making.

 

Then on Tuesday, March 1^st, Venus moves into freedom-loving Aquarius until March 26^th… and forms an aspect of opportunity to Aquarius’ ruler, unpredictable Uranus… We’ll be wanting to cozy up to someone who can be a friend as well as a partner…

 

If we’ve been feeling a little bored, this energy could really shake things up in an experimental kind of way!  Venus in Aquarius is a perfect time to try something new, unusual – and think outside the box when it comes to our love, creativity and our money!   It’s also a time when we find we want to share what we DO have to benefit the greater whole…

 

Our hearts and relationships can benefit from allowing our urge to do something unexpected, surprising.  And surprises could be afoot in these areas for us for the next three or four weeks as well, especially as we break free from things that bind our hearts… but throwing the baby out with the bathwater won’t be to our advantage!  We should keep our foundations strong — just breathe new life into them!

 

And for these couple of days, as Venus also forms that sextile aspect of opportunity to Uranus, we could receive electric flashes of intuition relating to love, creativity or money.  And if we feel an inner urge to ‘try something new’ in these areas, we should JUMP!

 

Then on Thursday, March 3^rd, the North Node leaves ambitious Capricorn and enters expansive Sagittarius – and its axis partner, the South Node leaves protective Cancer and enters idea-filled Gemini…

The North Node shows us the future and where we’re headed, and the South Node where we’ve been.  And in Sagittarius, the North Node is telling us to hold a vision of our higher nature, our highest selves.  And in Sagittarius, our attention could also be on foreign people, places and things for the next 19 months or so.  We’ll be encouraged to expand our worlds in some way, either by education, travel, or other exploration.  We’ll be called on to stretch now.  The last time the North Node was in Sagittarius was from August 1992 to February 1994 – so think back to that time to get a flavor of this energy shift…

 

And also on Thursday, March 3^rd, Mars will be giving us a potentially intense opportunity with powerful Pluto… and we can see changes that have far-reaching effects in our lives.  Passionate urges of all types will be strong now – and we can use this energy to touch or transform our true purpose.  This is a very heady day, energetically speaking…

 

Especially since it leads us up to the deliciously mystical New Moon in Pisces on Friday, March 4^th.
This New Moon, inspired by a conjunction to Mars and Mercury, gives her even more creative power to a new beginning… and it tells us that communication and action will be part of the process of newness.  And since we have a fullness of six planets in Pisces, we have even more opportunity for success in setting off in a brand new direction.

 

New Moons always offer us an opportunity to start fresh and new – and this particular New Moon will help us gather and use divinely inspired creativity to help us reach new dreams and goals.  So… we should be ready with our New Moon Wish List!  It will be powerful for us – and our dreams!

SkyeWatch Astrology Note for Friday, Feb 25th: Jupiter/Pluto Square…Power, Conflict, Ambition

We first experienced this Jupiter/Pluto Square last summer as part of the Grand Cardinal Square, or Cardinal Climax.  But this time around, hopefully we finish what we started back then.  This is the final square in this series for these two big guys, and we can see how far we’ve come since last August…

 
And we, or people around us — or our world — might be seriously challenged by authorities in some way.  There’s a lot of force involved here… and negotiations of any kind can be difficult.  If we find ourselves confronted in a powerplay, it would be good to step back and just observe until the energy, or conflict, blows over.  Overall, it’s a very explosive energy…

 
However, this aspect can also bring us great ambition.  The key is to avoid becoming obsessive about it.  If we step over a line now, there’ll be no going back.  So, taking a deep breath and being the observer will help us use the knowledge we’ve gained over these last several months, and make good, informed choices when the dust settles.

 
So, over these few days, we should stand our ground — but lay a bit low.  Meditation or sitting and breathing deeply under a favorite tree for a few would be an excellent assist here!

Well, we have a very eventful week ahead of us.  It’s really a powerful week, especially since we’re still experiencing the energy of the Leo SuperFull Moon!  …and also one of 2011′s most powerful astrological events – a Jupiter-Pluto square – is happening this week – and these two big guys were part of the powerful Cardinal Cross aspect of last summer (if you remember that one!), so now they’re in the process of reactivating that energy.  And also, both Mars and Mercury are changing signs – just after they form a potent triple conjunction with Neptune in late Aquarius! Whew!

…and here we go!

The week gets right off to a powerful start with that triple conjunction Sunday, February 20^th, when Mercury and Mars form that compelling conjunction to Neptune in late Aquarius… it may be nearly impossible for us NOT to communicate what’s on our minds!  This combination will help us cut to the chase and/or through any red tape in our lives or heads! …but hopefully tempered with some of Neptune’s gentleness…  And it’s also a beautiful time to turn within and/or take action in our spiritual lives.  Inner awareness will be available to us, and this can actually come from physical activity, like yoga or tai chi – or even hiking or walking in nature.  These couple of days will also offer incredible energy for any creative endeavors and our imagination can take flight – along with rich psychic experiences, if we’d like that!  The one caveat would be about making commitments or important decisions right now.  Get a trusted ‘buddy check’ before signing on the dotted line!

 

Then on Monday, February 21^st, Mercury moves into Pisces where he’ll remain until March 9^th… Our intuition, imagination, and dreamworld will likely be very active.  And this is a wonderful energy for any creative work, from artistic projects to writing, to healing and the intuitive arts.  We’ll be able touch beyond boundaries now and come to some very creative solutions or see new ideas practically fall into our laps!

 

We should also expect the manner we communicate will be more sensitive – or confused!  It will be a wonderful time to take some time for ourselves, especially by just about ANY body of water – even a bathtub! – where we can be alone with our thoughts.  Using this energy proactively can also give an assist to us out of any confusion or indecision that might arise…

 

And on Tuesday, February 22^nd, Mercury conjuncts Chiron and Mars enters Pisces until April 1^st … Mars moving into Pisces is going to re-emphasize the energy we began the week with when Mars was conjunct Neptune – it’s the same combined energies – and it’s once again encouraging us to combine our spiritual and physical energies in some way.  Otherwise… if we don’t get proactive here… our path could seem somewhat blurry, foggy or we might feel fluffy and indecisive.  Or… like we’re floating or spaced out in some way.  But using this energy deliberately can help us arrive at some surprising, magical new places!

 

And combined with Mercury’s dance with Chiron, we’re being offered an opportunity to heal our thoughts, our thinking, or our words…. And a spanking new awareness of how we’re truly creating our reality can tenderly thump us right between the eyes!

 

And… the biggie day of the week occurs on Friday, February 25^th,, when not only do we have four significant aspects – but ALSO one of this year’s most powerful events – the Jupiter-Pluto square, falling in the action signs of Aries and Capricorn…and we should expect this energy to be with us and very potent for about the next month.  This is an extraordinarily intense energy.  We felt it last August at the infamous “Cardinal Cross or Climax” aspect, which called on us to surrender something – or even someone – in some way.  And it’s BACK!  This time, hopefully, we’ve integrated the energy of the earlier aspect, and now can use it for powerful opportunity and transformation… and put some polish on the work we began – or that was begun for us!   This is a time of big trust for us…Big changes are here.

 

And also today, Mercury conjuncts the Sun, and they both sextile Pluto. That’s an aspect of opportunity.  And this makes for some very heady energy… Our minds will be burning hot, deep and passionate.  Our concentration will be laser sharp and we can reach a new level of purpose.  And/but, should we find ourselves in delicate situations that require sensitivity, not so much!  It will be important that we recognize the power we hold, and tread a little softer.  Or just wait a while to work things out!

This week, it’s Saturn that dances with us…

Even though Jupiter is now moving in adventurous Aries – at least until early June…– and we’re ready to take action now!   …and last week’s SkyeWatch looks at how each will be affected by Jupiter in Aries.

Since Aries and Jupiter both love speed – this is the time for us to seize this fast dynamic energy and thoroughly take advantage of it — it won’t come around again for another 12 years!

…this week, though beautiful ringed Saturn is sitting motionless in the sky and will soon be fully moving in a retrograde motion until June 12^th – and he’ll be involved in several major aspects this week…  and he’s going to require us to be deliberate, take stock – and be realistic in our changes.  That’s a good thing right now!  It kind of gives us a brake pedal for the Jupiter/Aries energy!

And… we begin the week on Sunday, January 23^rd with juicy Venus forming a 60 degree aspect of opportunity with ambitious Saturn…  This energy can bring us a sense of stability in our finances, our creativity and our relationships – and we won’t be afraid of hard work to increase our earnings, or earning ability now.  We should also look for some real progress in matters involving love, money or beauty.  And it would also be an excellent day to begin a new health or fitness routine.

Then on Tuesday, January 25^th, Saturn stations and turns retrograde in relationship-oriented Libra – and now he’ll be giving us the opportunity to review our lives – and especially our relationships – and to make sure we’re where we want to be – and that things are moving in a direction we want.  Over these next few months, we’re all going to be taking a look at where we’ve been… which in turn is going to allow us to make changes in dusty old ways that aren’t working.  And, remember Jupiter in Aries is going to give us huge impetus to leap into those changes!

And also, for a few days around the 25^th, some of us may have a tendency to feel especially held back in our desires – and maybe even a little depressed or sad as we adjust to this station of serious Saturn… but soon we can embrace Saturn’s gift of planning and focus as we decide what and where – and who – we want in our lives…. and after Saturn returns to direct motion in a few months, we’re going to have a much clearer understanding of our goals, and what needs to be done to reach them.

So, for best results over these few days, we should let go of any pessimistic thoughts and do what we can to let go of any negative behavior patterns before the Giant Saturn begins his retrograde movement in earnest.
And then on Wednesday, January 26^th, Mercury gets into the act with Saturn as he squares off with the big guy… and this aspect is made more powerful than it usually might be because Saturn just turned retrograde – and this is a challenge for us to communicate clearly and succinctly… and we’ll be expected to know what we’re talking about… so if we really really don’t know the answer — it’s just wiser to sit on it – and just not speak!

This energy may also bring some of us a feeling of depression, sadness or melancholy – so it’ll be important that we don’t get caught up in a ‘pity party’ – our own or someone else’s – or ‘poor me’ or taking life too seriously.  On the positive side, we may also experience this energy as helping us to work hard and accomplish things in a deliberate, structured way.

So… the next few months are about balancing the fiery fast energy of Jupiter in Aries with the patience and diligence required by retrograde Saturn.  So… we should be passionate, take action – but think about it – and try to make those changes one step at a time!

Well… not only are we are in full Mercury retrograde alert… but we’re in eclipse and solstice alert this week as well…

We can consider this week to be a turning point in our lives …

Because not only do we have the Winter solstice on December 21st, but we also have a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 29° Gemini on the same day — and Mercury is still retrograde… he has been retrograde since December 10th… and he won’t  turn direct until December 30th….

So we are in for some intensity over the Holiday Season and through the beginning weeks of January, 2011.

This means that we will need to be even more flexible in our planning as we navigate through these next two or three weeks — especially as we may be dealing with traveling for the holidays, visiting relatives, and the needs of our families.
On Tuesday, December 21st, at the Solstice, the Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Gemini is at the last degree of Gemini — and these last degrees are about endings and are often found to be unpredictable, especially communications and travel — since Gemini rules communication, travel, and our thinking…

If we do find changes occurring in our lives — especially in surprising ways –  We need to remember that these changes are necessary for our new movement and growth in this upcoming year.

And not only does this Lunar Eclipse happen on the same day as the Winter solstice — which is very rare — it also aspects every planet in the sky — including making a close connection to the Mars/ Pluto/Mercury conjunction that we just experienced in the past week.

This speaks to our transformation… and it’s power and wild out-of-the-blue intuition will be in effect for us for the next 6 to 12 months….

So overall this week, we should be ready for unexpected changes, we should be flexible in our planning, and make no major commitments, decisions, or major purchases — as much as life will allow — and wait things out… drawing peace from within us… and as much as possible allow life to roll off of us like water on a duck’s back….

Now… this week, we have a New Moon in Sagittarius, Uranus changes to direct motion, Mars will move into Capricorn — but the big news is that Mercury, who is very powerfully aspected right now, turns retrograde….

On Sunday December 5^th, we have a bright, shiny New Moon in Sagittarius — this new moon will bring us ideas for education — and inspiration for internal and external growth and expansion — and maybe even travel.  If we allow it to come to us, we will sense a buoyant optimism bubbling up and available to us.  We have new vision and new hope — and this New Moon asks us to think big, and think outside the box

… and also on Sunday, December 5, Uranus will turn direct, and our awareness and intuitive thinking come to the forefront.  Action and movement in high-tech, television, and science is at our doorstep — and for these few days.  We should be prepared to expect the unexpected.  We will be ready to make changes that have been simmering below the surface for the last few months.  And this can be a very big change in direction for us and our lives

… then on Friday, December 10^th, Mercury turns retrograde at 5° of Capricorn…

This Mercury retrograde is even more significant this time around because it’s also been moving with Pluto for about a week.   So of this Mercury retrograde is very powerfully about transformation.  And we need to watch for anything or anyone that pushes our buttons over this month — because they’re coming up for transformation and healing.  And we won’t be able to say no to this transformation this time around.

And of course, this is the time to pay close attention to our communications, our computers, and their vehicles — and avoid starting major new projects if we can… although projects already begun will be getting a powerful boost of energy, so be ready to make the most of it.  We’ll want to take extra care when traveling, back up critical data and make sure they were saying exactly what we’re intending to say — as usual for Mercury retrograde periods.  And we should remember that Mercury retrograde periods are not all bad — they’re all wonderful time for planning and finishing things that we’ve already started.

And since this Mercury retrograde is in Capricorn, he’s asking us to be practical and to look at any outworn structures in our lives, and be ready to replace them with new ones that serve us better — after he moves to forward motion on December 29^th.

… and then on Tuesday, December 7th,  Mars leaves Sagittarius and moves into ambitious Capricorn — and this too will give us disciplined and structure as we move forward with our ambitions.  The energy of Mars in Capricorn, works well with Mercury retrograde in Capricorn… both are traveling in the same direction.  The one drawback with these placements is the possibility of the possibility of being a little more insensitive — so, we will want to keep an eye on that for best results.

Well, we’ve got lots of energy and enthusiasm coming our way this week…

And even though the Sun and Mercury are now in Scorpio –fiery Mars is a main player as he moves into exuberant Sagittarius – so get your high heeled sneakers ready for some action!  This is truly a week of true opportunity!

And while the coming month’s action will certainly be about delving beneath the surface appearances of just about EVERYTHING – that very active Mars energy will keep us moving along and not allowing us time to settle in the watery depths of emotions for very long!

…And at the end of this week’s SkyeWatch, I talk about just how and where this new Mars energy will affect each sign…

So, the week starts off on Sunday, October 24^th, with Mars will forming an exciting, flowing connection with Uranus,

And we should be prepared for some very high energy!  Look for spontaneous and unexpected actions and/or events to unfold in or around us…and we should also be prepared to funnel all this energy in original, daring directions.  And if there’s something – or someONE – that’s been keeping us feeling like we’re just in a rut, we might even find ourselves fairly bursting with courage to make changes that will make us come alive!  This is also a great time to launch almost anything – so do launch!

And then on Monday, October 25^th, Mercury will come together in a conjunction with retrograde Venus… We may be feeling more social now and want to seek out harmonious communications of all kinds – or they may seek us out, so be prepared!  If we have deals to maneuver or agreements to be made, this could be the absolute ideal time.  Balance between all parties concerned will be there, and communications can flow easily and gracefully now.  We need to be careful not to let this moment slip away if we’ve been wanting or needing a meeting of the minds.  This is also a wonderful day for artists, writers and any other type of creatives so grab on with both hands!

Then, Tuesday, October 26^th, the Sun will form a supportive sextile to Pluto – this is about opportunity – and we can also find the fog lifting and know exactly where we’re going.   We can also find within us a deep, powerful determination to be able to get to that place or desire.

The one caveat worth mentioning here would be that we’ll want to be sure we don’t steamroll over our competition – really, it won’t be necessary!  Use quiet self-confidence and if you know that we CAN look beneath the surface of situations, we’ll have the upper hand without ever showing it…

And then late Wednesday, October 27^th, Mars fairly explodes into adventurous Sagittarius, where he’ll be staying until December 7^th – and watch the energy soar!  Mars is going to be giving courage to go for those big Sagittarian Dreams we all have…and optimism will be the name of the game now.  We’ll be looking for freedom, too, though – and we won’t be afraid to take risks.  This could be too big, too fast, or just plain too much!   But potentially a LOT of fun!  We’ll also want to travel, literally or figuratively, now – on outward or inward journeys.  And we won’t be afraid to step up to the plate to lead others, or reach for a long-held dream… This is the time to go after exactly what we want – and we should tuck that spirit of adventure into our back pockets!

And on Thursday, October 28^th, retrograde Venus Retrograde will connect with Sun and a new beginning is birthed.  This moment is like a seed planted that will finally sprout after Venus returns to direct motion after November 18^th.  And this new beginning could relate to love, money, art and/or beauty in our lives.  This is a beautiful moment to connect with the seedling of what we desire to have unfold for us – and then be patient and expectant as we await it’s birth in November!  This can also be a time when we finally see clearly who or what is – or is not – mutually beneficial in our lives.

So… we’ve got the wind at our backs, we’re holding onto our hats, here’s the week ahead in eight minutes or less …

and this then is for the week beginning Sunday, October 17^th,  2010…

Well, this is a week of powerful change – and powerful, powerful passions!  The shifting energy will be nearly palpable to us – so we REALLY SHOULD hold on to our hats – and that goes for about the next month!

The week sets off on Monday, October 18^th with Mercury forming a flowing trine aspect to Neptune and the Asteroid Chiron.  Chiron is also known as the “Wounded Healer”… and our imaginations will be running through fields of purple clover!  And finding healing, dreams and intuitions along the way…

Creativity, healing and ideas will be flowing like a stream to the ocean can be ours for these couple of days… we’ll be feeling very fluid and compassionate toward others, and toward ourselves.  Mental healing is available now and we’ll either give or receive just the right words that we need to speak or hear… the only caveat here is that we may fall into too much wishful thinking or get caught up in daydreams.  Not a bad thing – just recognize it for what it is!

Then Tuesday, October 19^th the Sun takes over and trines the same points in the sky, Neptune and Chiron… and we can be feeling amazing optimism now – and miraculously feel like our recent efforts to achieve our dreams are finally beginning to come together in an almost magical cohesive whole.

Romance, compassion and creativity can also blossom now.  But we should hold off making decisions and major changes under this influence – it’s a lovely, but temporary, energy… so we should thoroughly enjoy it, but stay as grounded as we can

And on Wednesday, October 20^th, Mercury changes his personality from partnership oriented and agreeable Libra and moves into deep, watery and passionate Scorpio – and all just as Mars forms a mystically flowing trine to Jupiter… and we’ll find our intuition and hunches ratcheting up several notches.  Secrets and hidden information may come to light in our lives over this next month – and that can surprise us and/or help us make some more decisions about where we want to go – and what we want to believe.  We could also find ourselves experiencing the obsessive or manipulative side of Scorpio’s personality – either within ourselves or in those around us.  So be alert to that… and all of this very deep energy is amplified by Mars forming a flowing trine to Jupiter today which could either open our courage – or push assertiveness toward aggression if we aren’t paying attention.  There’s a huge amount of fervor in the air today – we should use it to courageously move forward toward our passions.  We could surprise ourselves when we see how much we’re able to accomplish!

Then on Friday, October 22^nd, Mars will square off with Neptune, form an aspect of opportunity with Pluto – and square off with the Asteroid Chiron – plus we have a potent Full Moon in Aries! …all at once!

This can bring us deeply penetrating conversations – or just some plain old arguments.  It will be our choice.  No matter what, we could have a very emotional day, one way or the other.  On the challenging side, we should be alert to any passive-aggressive behavior around or in us, and instead work toward releasing old patterns of hidden agendas.  This can be a startling time of healing things from the past that have hurt us in some way.  Though it might be shocking or upsetting as it comes to light.

And also on Friday, October 22^nd, we’ll be experiencing a particularly intense Full Moon in Aries, and with all the other forceful energy fairly bursting in the sky this week, we can count on feeling fully awake and alert!  Courage is the name of the game.  And there’s so much passion around us this week, that we can stand up and take on just about anything we desire.  Desire being the operative word now!

Finally, on Saturday, October 23^rd, the life-giving Sun will join Mercury in emotionally driven Scorpio – and we’ll be called front and center to follow our passions.  And get a move on!  The good news is that we won’t have a half-hearted feeling in us – and the challenging news is that we won’t have a half-hearted feeling in us!  So we’ll have amazing muscle and strength to follow our dreams – or invent some new ones along the way!  And this energy is going to be around for about a month!

Now, this week I want to talk about the energy of this dynamic and powerful Full Moon in Aries – and how it will be affecting each sign.  And, as always, this will apply to your Sun Sign and Rising/Ascendant sign if you know it…

 

Aries.

Look for a balancing, completion or culmination of something you may have begun related to partnership issues last July.  Look for a new understanding as you relate to others now.  Be agreeable, find balance, but don’t put yourself last!

Taurus.

Some of life’s “clutter” may finally be ready to leave your life.  You might also find secrets revealed to you.  Allow yourself to be drawn to solitude – your intuition will flourish!

Gemini.

Celebrate your friends and be open to seeing your dreams come to fruition.  Also, be prepared that some associations that no longer meet your needs may come to an end – to open the door for dashing new ones to come in!

Cancer.

You may realize a career goal now that opens doors to new professional pursuits in your life.  Be ready to see a new path if it’s presented to you – and grab that golden brass ring!

Leo.

Personal and spiritual growth will expand your horizons in ways you never expected.  You may also have an new education opportunity – or find yourself traveling to new places.

Virgo.

Shared or jointly held resources are up for examination – and possible expansion.  Be prepared to release an old habit that’s just been holding you back!  And also be prepared to experience some amazing expanded psychic awareness!

Libra.

Your partnerships, intimate or business, will be finding balance.  This may mean letting go of any of any that aren’t meeting your needs – or being surprised as some becoming renewed!

Scorpio.

Your health and daily life and routine can become balanced.  You may also finally find fulfillment in your current work – or be presented with an opportunity for new work.

Sagittarius.

Fun, love and pleasure can be all around you for the taking now.  New romance can beckon – and/or you may finally be able to find closure in one that needs to be left behind.

Capricorn.

You can find renewal and balance in your home and family life.  You may also finally see the success in an expansion you’d hoped for – and the success you’ve worked for.

Aquarius.

Communications of all kinds can bring fulfillment to you – and answers you’ve been waiting for.  So, if you’ve been waiting for a message, it’s time to arrive is right around the corner!

Pisces.

Expect to find a balance in your finances and what you value.  You may have an opportunity to finalize a new source of income, or solidify some recent changes in your current income source.
