So… we’ve got the wind at our backs, we’re holding onto our hats, here’s the week ahead beginning Sunday, April 24^th, 2011…

Although we don’t have major planetary aspects or sign changes, for a change,

Venus is a major player for us this week and she is very busy – and in some challenging kind of ways…

 

And… however… the biggest and best news we’ve had in a long time is that our little fleet-footed messenger friend Mercury has turned direct.  It feels like a long retrograde this time – but now the restrictions and hold-ups in our plans are about to lift, and things that have been stalled can move forward.  FINALLY!  Oh, go ahead… let’s have another hallelujah!

 

On Saturday, April 23^rd, Mercury made his station and right now he’s sitting still in the sky for a few days.  So, yes… we can finally expect to see movement in the next week or so – and then even more movement in the weeks to come as he kicks up his heels and gets some legs under him.

And hopefully, we’ve used these three or four weeks to review our plans and thoughts since Mercury’s retrograde cycle in Aries on March 30^th.  And no doubt, we’ve probably been given plenty to think about!  So, the time has arrived for us if we need to mend or repair any miscommunications, especially in the next week or so as Mercury gets a move on, takes a few steps forward in Aries.  Don’t be surprised if some very bold, very fast communications finally get a jump start for us!

And then Wednesday, April 27^th, promises to be intense… Venus will put on her velvet boxing gloves and square off with intense Pluto… but at the same time, the life-giving Sun will form a beautiful, flowing trine aspect to waiting Pluto.  This energy could bring us some kind of power struggle in relationships – and it’s another one of those times when we’ll want to save the confrontations till a later time if we can.  Force won’t help issues now. But the energy of this transit can also be a door opener for us so we can see any hidden, obscure areas in our lives or relationships that need some light shed on them – and that need healing – so we can take the necessary housecleaning actions making way for the newness that’s waiting for us!

And…however, at the same time, the favorable Sun to Pluto aspect will be lending a positive, helping hand through whatever we may have found landing on our doorstep, and it has a definite ability to smooth confrontations in a positive way.  We might also surprise ourselves at the level of determination and energy that we discover within ourselves.  Keep in mind that subtlety probably won’t be our strong suit though!  Determination will be ours, but overwhelm may actually be the flavor of the day…

And then Saturday, April 30^th could continue that push-me-pull-you energy as questioning Venus  faces off with serious Saturn in an opposition – but at the same time fiery headstrong Mars will conjunct expansive Jupiter.

Venus and Saturn could bring us a good clear-headed look at reality – even one we may not really want to see.  But then again, action-oriented Mars conjunct optimistic Jupiter in fiery Aries will be urging us to take a risk.  This challenge here for us may be not to promise what we can’t – or won’t – deliver.   And remember that Jupiter makes everything bigger – so this is VERY big energy and action.

And also — since Mars is fast – and Jupiter DOES make things bigger – we might see some of this energy arriving before the exact time of the aspect.  So, we should be looking for this very big, very fast energy sneaking up on us a day or so earlier – and be ready for it!

Now… this week, since Mercury ends his powerful retrograde period and moves forward, I want to talk about how each sign can expect to see this forward movement – FINALLY!  And as always, this will apply to your Sun sign and Ascendant/Rising sign if you know it…

Aries 

Your personal life is ready to blast forward!  If you can, take your time in accepting new opportunities, invitations, and communications that are sure to be arriving – and very fast!

Taurus

You’ll be coming out of any shadows very quickly now.  And information you’ve been waiting for will be showing up now — and maybe in quite sudden ways.  Make your decisions – and go for it!

Gemini

Any confusion in communications with friends and associates will be clearing up now.  And you’ll also be given a very big green light to finally go after the dreams you’ve been birthing!

Cancer

Your career can get on the fast track now.  It’s time to make those decisions that have been rolling around in your mind.  Watch for very fast communications to arrive about your professional life

Leo

So… we’ve got the wind at our backs, we’re holding onto our hats, here’s the week ahead beginning Sunday, April 3^rd, 2011…

Well, we’re continuing on with our powerful time of change and transformation this week with the Aries New Moon connecting with and activating six planets also in Aries – including retrograde Mercury – and the Jupiter/Saturn opposition, joins with Jupiter in Aries and opposing Saturn in Libra.  Fiery forward moving Aries is packed with Mars and Uranus at 1 Aries, Sun Moon at 13 Aries, Jupiter at 15 Aries and retrograde Mercury, not to be forgotten, at 23, Aries.  Action may seem unavoidable now – but we do need to double check our plans and lists before we leap into action!

Plus, to add even more power to this week Pluto is turning retrograde – and Neptune will be making a rare sign change, too, moving into his own sign of Pisces for the first time in 165 years.  And the last time he changed signs was when he moved into cerebral Aquarius about 14 years ago.  So, watch for a preview of things to come now!  Things will be changing – and they’ll be softer.

Also, just a couple days ago on Friday, April 1^st, Mars entered Aries where he’ll be traveling through May 10^th.  Now, Mars in Aries is all about action – but Mercury retrograde is about stopping or at least slowing down.  It really is somewhat like a fist-fight meets tug of war.  And we’ll have passion and want to take risks – however, if we can funnel this over-the-top energy into a focused goal, we’ll definitely have better results that suit us!

 

And so, the first piece of big astrological news for us happens on Sunday, April 3^rd with April’s New Moon. While this New Moon is offering us a powerful sense of drive and new hope, with those six planets in Aries at this moment, and connecting with the push-me-pull-you energy of the Jupiter-Saturn opposition, we need to be ready for newness AND challenges.

 

Plus adding to the power-theme today, we also have a Mars-Uranus conjunction in Aries, AND a Sun-Saturn opposition.  This is a highly volatile combination of planets and aspects.  We should be ready for unstable and unpredictable outcomes today – and actually for the next couple of weeks.

 

Then on Monday, April 4^th, Neptune enters Pisces.  After traveling for the last 14 years in independent, freedom-loving Aquarius, Neptune moves into his own sign – for the first time in 165 years.  This is a major astrological event.  Neptune in Pisces will bring a much softer, more mystical energy to us.  Spirituality and inspiration will be in the air.  Unconditional love and compassion will come to the fore in all our lives.

 

Then on Wednesday, April 6^th, the radiant Sun will join with Jupiter, and still in forward-moving Aries – and we’ll be supported in taking action on our plans and projects.  We’ll likely be feeling expansive and full of enthusiastic excitement.  For best results, we should look at taking advantage of this vitality-filled energy by taking part in some high-energy actions!

 
Then, more big news for us – on Saturday, April 9^th, Pluto turns retrograde until September 16^th – and the Sun and Mercury are also conjunct.

 

The Sun-Mercury aspect will ignite our minds and thoughts and we’ll be able to find immediate solutions to reach desired outcomes.  Learning, education and communications of all kinds will also be favored.  Also, however, Pluto standing still in the sky before he makes his move to retrograde motion, will give us a deeper understanding and insight to any old repeating patterns that have served their purpose in our lives – and are now ready to be released.

 

While these two planetary configurations may seem like just more push-me-pull-you energy, they actually can work hand-in-hand and propel us to new conscious and soulful understandings.

 

This would be a day – and week actually – to stay alert to shifts and changes in our world, personally and collectively.

So… we’ve got the wind at our backs, we’re holding onto our hats, here’s the week ahead…

…and this week, we have change – very BIG, TRANSFORMATIONAL  CHANGE – on our agenda!  Uranus, the planet of change, revolution, and innovation enters fiery, pioneering, me-first, Aries.  We should all be expecting sudden, rapid, powerful and unprecedented change, almost out of nowhere – and for the next several months – and for the next seven years… because Uranus will be in Aries until 2018!

The last time Uranus was in Aries was in the late 1920’s and early 1930’s, when you could say things began to get a little erratic.  The stock market crashed, for one thing, and we began a march to a volatile reality on nearly all fronts of life….

 

Uranus is about unconventionality and abrupt change – and upheaval.  And it does bring these changes swiftly.  It’s startling – and it’s like a bolt from the blue.

 

This is where we leave the pack…  And if we DON’T allow ourselves to blast into our new “newness,” we’ll likely find ourselves butting up against the authorities in our lives and mired in some kind of personal crisis…so that we DO clear away any lingering cobwebs.

 

And with Uranus moving through fiery warrior Aries, expect heat!

 

And that’s what we should be expecting over these next seven years – and beginning on March 11, 2011… we should be looking for the unexpected, bizarre developments, rebelliousness and massive changes globally and personally.

 

Can you say Revolution?!

 

But it’s not all bad in any way – brilliance and unparalleled discoveries are also on our menus!

So…here we go!

And we get started this week on Wednesday, March 9^th, with Mercury also moving into sizzling Aries until May 15^th – and he conjuncts our Main Player, Uranus, just before he makes his world-shattering shift!  Also, Mercury’s stay in Aries will be unusually long since he’ll be turning retrograde there later in March… so his travels alongside Uranus – and with giant Jupiter as well, by the way – will also be unusually long!

 

For these couple of months, our minds – and words – can cut to the chase, so to speak.  We actually may not be able to constrain ourselves now, especially if we’ve held back.  We could surprise others – and ourselves – when we open our mouths and finally SPEAK.  However, we should probably at least make an attempt to think before we open our mouths to do that speaking!  And that one may not be so easy!

 

But on the positive side, independent thinking and creative genius is ours!  If there was ever a time to think outside the box – this is it!  So we should get to it!

 

Then on Thursday, March 10^th, Venus dances with Jupiter and offers us an opportunity for love and money!  Electric creativity and pleasure is in the air for us!  Although a little decadence might be as well… not necessarily a bad thing, but a possibility to be aware of!

 

And then finally, Friday, March 11^th, the Biggie Day of the Week – and month…and maybe even year – Uranus, the planet of chaos, explodes into Aries, THE sign of new beginnings – where he travels for the next seven years, until 2018!  That kind of says it all, actually…

 

However… thinking back to the last time Uranus was in Aries 80+ years ago in the late 1920’s and early 1930’s, we see that things have to change.  Things have to become new.  And sometimes things have to end to make way for all the newness.  And we’ve now arrived at that time again…

 

And, however, on the plus side, Uranus in Aries is about passion, exhilaration and extraordinary action.    New excitement and fiery enthusiasm will be arriving in some area of our lives.   New surprising urges – or the urge to finally act on the urges we’ve be unable to realize – may also surface!

 

So, it wouldn’t be surprising to expect life to get pretty exciting over these next seven or eight years as the planet of chaos, revolution and change goes into the blazing fire sign of Aries – and that goes for globally AND personally.   Life will restructure.  There’s no doubt about that.

 

And over these several years – and beginning this week – significant changes will be occurring in our lives.  And this is especially true for any of the Cardinal signs – and that’s Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn – or anyone who has personal planets or points in the Cardinal signs.

So… we’ve got the wind at our backs, we’re holding onto our hats, here’s the week ahead in eight minutes or less …

and this then is for the week beginning Sunday, January 23^rd, 2011…

This week, it’s Saturn that dances with us…

Even though Jupiter is now moving in adventurous Aries – at least until early June…– and we’re ready to take action now!   …and last week’s SkyeWatch looks at how each will be affected by Jupiter in Aries.

Since Aries and Jupiter both love speed – this is the time for us to seize this fast dynamic energy and thoroughly take advantage of it — it won’t come around again for another 12 years!

…this week, though beautiful ringed Saturn is sitting motionless in the sky and will soon be fully moving in a retrograde motion until June 12^th – and he’ll be involved in several major aspects this week…  and he’s going to require us to be deliberate, take stock – and be realistic in our changes.  That’s a good thing right now!  It kind of gives us a brake pedal for the Jupiter/Aries energy!

And… we begin the week on Sunday, January 23^rd with juicy Venus forming a 60 degree aspect of opportunity with ambitious Saturn…  This energy can bring us a sense of stability in our finances, our creativity and our relationships – and we won’t be afraid of hard work to increase our earnings, or earning ability now.  We should also look for some real progress in matters involving love, money or beauty.  And it would also be an excellent day to begin a new health or fitness routine.

Then on Tuesday, January 25^th, Saturn stations and turns retrograde in relationship-oriented Libra – and now he’ll be giving us the opportunity to review our lives – and especially our relationships – and to make sure we’re where we want to be – and that things are moving in a direction we want.  Over these next few months, we’re all going to be taking a look at where we’ve been… which in turn is going to allow us to make changes in dusty old ways that aren’t working.  And, remember Jupiter in Aries is going to give us huge impetus to leap into those changes!

And also, for a few days around the 25^th, some of us may have a tendency to feel especially held back in our desires – and maybe even a little depressed or sad as we adjust to this station of serious Saturn… but soon we can embrace Saturn’s gift of planning and focus as we decide what and where – and who – we want in our lives…. and after Saturn returns to direct motion in a few months, we’re going to have a much clearer understanding of our goals, and what needs to be done to reach them.

So, for best results over these few days, we should let go of any pessimistic thoughts and do what we can to let go of any negative behavior patterns before the Giant Saturn begins his retrograde movement in earnest.
And then on Wednesday, January 26^th, Mercury gets into the act with Saturn as he squares off with the big guy… and this aspect is made more powerful than it usually might be because Saturn just turned retrograde – and this is a challenge for us to communicate clearly and succinctly… and we’ll be expected to know what we’re talking about… so if we really really don’t know the answer — it’s just wiser to sit on it – and just not speak!

This energy may also bring some of us a feeling of depression, sadness or melancholy – so it’ll be important that we don’t get caught up in a ‘pity party’ – our own or someone else’s – or ‘poor me’ or taking life too seriously.  On the positive side, we may also experience this energy as helping us to work hard and accomplish things in a deliberate, structured way.

So… the next few months are about balancing the fiery fast energy of Jupiter in Aries with the patience and diligence required by retrograde Saturn.  So… we should be passionate, take action – but think about it – and try to make those changes one step at a time!

So… we’ve got the wind at our backs, we’re holding onto our hats, here’s the week ahead in eight minutes or less …

The energy is shifting again… Jupiter moves into Aries – and we have a Full Moon in Cancer.  We’re ready to take action now!  And remember… There are NO retrograde planets until January 25^th – a rarity to be sure! – so we have all Green Lights ahead of us till then…

And we start off on Monday, January 17^th, with the Sun forming a delicious 60 degree aspect to inventive and original Uranus – and with Mercury dancing with Pluto…

 

We can expect some surprises today!  We’ll be feeling more spontaneous and maybe more ready for some scrumptious fun!   Breakouts and breakaways are possible now too – and we’ll be ready and able to try new things.  We should definitely allow ourselves to be surprised and delight in unprompted opportunities!

 

The day can also bring us deep insights, especially to motivations – our own or others… and we can see some lights finally clicking on.  So the combination of the Sun with Uranus – and Mercury connecting with Pluto can bring us some electric bolts from the blue… so we should be open – and not necessarily try to prepare – for them!

 

And then on Wednesday, January 18^th, the life-giving Sun forms a sextile aspect of opportunity with expansive Jupiter – and we’ll be welcoming a flowing energy… We can make progress with ease – and make some pretty large leaps forward – if we know where we want to go.

 

And also on Wednesday, January 18^th, we have a beautiful, luscious, plump Full Moon in Cancer – and it’s a very powerful one, too, since it relates back to the New Moon Solar Eclipse that took place back on January 4^th … that New Moon Solar Eclipse spoke to us about our worldly ambitions… and now we’ll begin to see some feedback on anything that was set in motion then.  So, it would be helpful to think back a couple of weeks – and assess how far we’ve come with our ambitions…  because now the time has arrived to focus on balancing that with our needs in our homes, family and personal lives.  We may be a little touchy – or people close to us may – and more emotional than usual.  Gentleness with ourselves is especially important now…

 

Then on Thursday, January 20^th, the Sun moves into Aquarius and  the energy of inventiveness, uniqueness, individuality and the power of genius will be with us for the next month… Be open to new ways of thinking and seeing things – and lots of cleverness.

 

And finally, the really BIG news of the week arrives on Saturday, January 22^nd, when Jupiter enters Aries – and begins a brand new 12-year cycle for us – and he’ll remain there in Aries until June 4^th… that’s our window for very Big, Fast, Passionate Action…

 

Opportunities for, from and about ourselves will be abounding now — thinking big and displaying confidence… our greatest success until June 4^th when he enters earthy Taurus, will come from taking the lead, being an inspiration – and not being afraid to exhibit courage and enthusiasm.  Luck will be on our side as we harness this forward moving energy!  So grab the reins – and move out!  For the next few months, we’ll have the strong urge to DO, and not just plan… the key will be to allow ourselves to take that action, but not so much that we burn ourselves out!

Now… this week, we have a New Moon in Sagittarius, Uranus changes to direct motion, Mars will move into Capricorn — but the big news is that Mercury, who is very powerfully aspected right now, turns retrograde….

On Sunday December 5^th, we have a bright, shiny New Moon in Sagittarius — this new moon will bring us ideas for education — and inspiration for internal and external growth and expansion — and maybe even travel.  If we allow it to come to us, we will sense a buoyant optimism bubbling up and available to us.  We have new vision and new hope — and this New Moon asks us to think big, and think outside the box

… and also on Sunday, December 5, Uranus will turn direct, and our awareness and intuitive thinking come to the forefront.  Action and movement in high-tech, television, and science is at our doorstep — and for these few days.  We should be prepared to expect the unexpected.  We will be ready to make changes that have been simmering below the surface for the last few months.  And this can be a very big change in direction for us and our lives

… then on Friday, December 10^th, Mercury turns retrograde at 5° of Capricorn…

This Mercury retrograde is even more significant this time around because it’s also been moving with Pluto for about a week.   So of this Mercury retrograde is very powerfully about transformation.  And we need to watch for anything or anyone that pushes our buttons over this month — because they’re coming up for transformation and healing.  And we won’t be able to say no to this transformation this time around.

And of course, this is the time to pay close attention to our communications, our computers, and their vehicles — and avoid starting major new projects if we can… although projects already begun will be getting a powerful boost of energy, so be ready to make the most of it.  We’ll want to take extra care when traveling, back up critical data and make sure they were saying exactly what we’re intending to say — as usual for Mercury retrograde periods.  And we should remember that Mercury retrograde periods are not all bad — they’re all wonderful time for planning and finishing things that we’ve already started.

And since this Mercury retrograde is in Capricorn, he’s asking us to be practical and to look at any outworn structures in our lives, and be ready to replace them with new ones that serve us better — after he moves to forward motion on December 29^th.

… and then on Tuesday, December 7th,  Mars leaves Sagittarius and moves into ambitious Capricorn — and this too will give us disciplined and structure as we move forward with our ambitions.  The energy of Mars in Capricorn, works well with Mercury retrograde in Capricorn… both are traveling in the same direction.  The one drawback with these placements is the possibility of the possibility of being a little more insensitive — so, we will want to keep an eye on that for best results.

Well, we’ve got lots of energy and enthusiasm coming our way this week…

And even though the Sun and Mercury are now in Scorpio –fiery Mars is a main player as he moves into exuberant Sagittarius – so get your high heeled sneakers ready for some action!  This is truly a week of true opportunity!

And while the coming month’s action will certainly be about delving beneath the surface appearances of just about EVERYTHING – that very active Mars energy will keep us moving along and not allowing us time to settle in the watery depths of emotions for very long!

…And at the end of this week’s SkyeWatch, I talk about just how and where this new Mars energy will affect each sign…

So, the week starts off on Sunday, October 24^th, with Mars will forming an exciting, flowing connection with Uranus,

And we should be prepared for some very high energy!  Look for spontaneous and unexpected actions and/or events to unfold in or around us…and we should also be prepared to funnel all this energy in original, daring directions.  And if there’s something – or someONE – that’s been keeping us feeling like we’re just in a rut, we might even find ourselves fairly bursting with courage to make changes that will make us come alive!  This is also a great time to launch almost anything – so do launch!

And then on Monday, October 25^th, Mercury will come together in a conjunction with retrograde Venus… We may be feeling more social now and want to seek out harmonious communications of all kinds – or they may seek us out, so be prepared!  If we have deals to maneuver or agreements to be made, this could be the absolute ideal time.  Balance between all parties concerned will be there, and communications can flow easily and gracefully now.  We need to be careful not to let this moment slip away if we’ve been wanting or needing a meeting of the minds.  This is also a wonderful day for artists, writers and any other type of creatives so grab on with both hands!

Then, Tuesday, October 26^th, the Sun will form a supportive sextile to Pluto – this is about opportunity – and we can also find the fog lifting and know exactly where we’re going.   We can also find within us a deep, powerful determination to be able to get to that place or desire.

The one caveat worth mentioning here would be that we’ll want to be sure we don’t steamroll over our competition – really, it won’t be necessary!  Use quiet self-confidence and if you know that we CAN look beneath the surface of situations, we’ll have the upper hand without ever showing it…

And then late Wednesday, October 27^th, Mars fairly explodes into adventurous Sagittarius, where he’ll be staying until December 7^th – and watch the energy soar!  Mars is going to be giving courage to go for those big Sagittarian Dreams we all have…and optimism will be the name of the game now.  We’ll be looking for freedom, too, though – and we won’t be afraid to take risks.  This could be too big, too fast, or just plain too much!   But potentially a LOT of fun!  We’ll also want to travel, literally or figuratively, now – on outward or inward journeys.  And we won’t be afraid to step up to the plate to lead others, or reach for a long-held dream… This is the time to go after exactly what we want – and we should tuck that spirit of adventure into our back pockets!

And on Thursday, October 28^th, retrograde Venus Retrograde will connect with Sun and a new beginning is birthed.  This moment is like a seed planted that will finally sprout after Venus returns to direct motion after November 18^th.  And this new beginning could relate to love, money, art and/or beauty in our lives.  This is a beautiful moment to connect with the seedling of what we desire to have unfold for us – and then be patient and expectant as we await it’s birth in November!  This can also be a time when we finally see clearly who or what is – or is not – mutually beneficial in our lives.

Well, this is a week of powerful change – and powerful, powerful passions!  The shifting energy will be nearly palpable to us – so we REALLY SHOULD hold on to our hats – and that goes for about the next month!

The week sets off on Monday, October 18^th with Mercury forming a flowing trine aspect to Neptune and the Asteroid Chiron.  Chiron is also known as the “Wounded Healer”… and our imaginations will be running through fields of purple clover!  And finding healing, dreams and intuitions along the way…

Creativity, healing and ideas will be flowing like a stream to the ocean can be ours for these couple of days… we’ll be feeling very fluid and compassionate toward others, and toward ourselves.  Mental healing is available now and we’ll either give or receive just the right words that we need to speak or hear… the only caveat here is that we may fall into too much wishful thinking or get caught up in daydreams.  Not a bad thing – just recognize it for what it is!

Then Tuesday, October 19^th the Sun takes over and trines the same points in the sky, Neptune and Chiron… and we can be feeling amazing optimism now – and miraculously feel like our recent efforts to achieve our dreams are finally beginning to come together in an almost magical cohesive whole.

Romance, compassion and creativity can also blossom now.  But we should hold off making decisions and major changes under this influence – it’s a lovely, but temporary, energy… so we should thoroughly enjoy it, but stay as grounded as we can

And on Wednesday, October 20^th, Mercury changes his personality from partnership oriented and agreeable Libra and moves into deep, watery and passionate Scorpio – and all just as Mars forms a mystically flowing trine to Jupiter… and we’ll find our intuition and hunches ratcheting up several notches.  Secrets and hidden information may come to light in our lives over this next month – and that can surprise us and/or help us make some more decisions about where we want to go – and what we want to believe.  We could also find ourselves experiencing the obsessive or manipulative side of Scorpio’s personality – either within ourselves or in those around us.  So be alert to that… and all of this very deep energy is amplified by Mars forming a flowing trine to Jupiter today which could either open our courage – or push assertiveness toward aggression if we aren’t paying attention.  There’s a huge amount of fervor in the air today – we should use it to courageously move forward toward our passions.  We could surprise ourselves when we see how much we’re able to accomplish!

Then on Friday, October 22^nd, Mars will square off with Neptune, form an aspect of opportunity with Pluto – and square off with the Asteroid Chiron – plus we have a potent Full Moon in Aries! …all at once!

This can bring us deeply penetrating conversations – or just some plain old arguments.  It will be our choice.  No matter what, we could have a very emotional day, one way or the other.  On the challenging side, we should be alert to any passive-aggressive behavior around or in us, and instead work toward releasing old patterns of hidden agendas.  This can be a startling time of healing things from the past that have hurt us in some way.  Though it might be shocking or upsetting as it comes to light.

And also on Friday, October 22^nd, we’ll be experiencing a particularly intense Full Moon in Aries, and with all the other forceful energy fairly bursting in the sky this week, we can count on feeling fully awake and alert!  Courage is the name of the game.  And there’s so much passion around us this week, that we can stand up and take on just about anything we desire.  Desire being the operative word now!

Finally, on Saturday, October 23^rd, the life-giving Sun will join Mercury in emotionally driven Scorpio – and we’ll be called front and center to follow our passions.  And get a move on!  The good news is that we won’t have a half-hearted feeling in us – and the challenging news is that we won’t have a half-hearted feeling in us!  So we’ll have amazing muscle and strength to follow our dreams – or invent some new ones along the way!  And this energy is going to be around for about a month!

Well… we have an exciting week ahead of us! It’s all very magical because the Autumn Equinox and Full Moon at the same time – and this is the Harvest Moon… As the Sun aspects Jupiter and Uranus who are conjunct now in mystical Pisces – we’ll have another opportunity to stand back and take a look at what we’ve been creating… and watch for this to happen in an almost startling way!

Tuesday, September 21^st, is the exact date that the Sun faces off with Jupiter and Uranus… and this is when we can find ourselves face to face with True Awakening – with a capital “A”!  Something is arriving that will shake us out of our same-old-same-old attitudes, choices and situations!  We may find ourselves needing to be quick and spontaneous… and life may feel very unpredictable for a time!  And if we have a choice between stress and excitement – choose excitement everytime!  So, get ready for – and welcome – fast, surprising change!
Then on Wednesday, September 22^nd, the Sun waltzes into the sign of Libra…and marks the time of the Fall Equinox for all of us here in the Northern Hemisphere… it also marks a time of perfect balance between day and night.  For this day and for the next month actually, our focus will be on partnering, close relationships, and balance.  Love is in the air!  …as is negotiation, beauty and harmony amongst us all…use this energy fully and well!

And… this magical moment of the Fall Equinox also takes place right at September’s Full Harvest Moon on Thursday, September 23^rd…

So, the energy really is all about culminating change – and, again, balance – because this Full Moon also takes place very near the point where we experienced the Cardinal T-Square – you remember that Cardinal T-Square, right?! – and it’s very close to the position of Jupiter and Uranus, squaring Pluto, and facing off with Saturn.  Did I say expect change this week?!  And since this Full Moon also takes place in Aries at the beginning of the zodiac… the Zero Point as it’s called – this is like, BANG! LET’S MOVE IT!  And we will!

And since this Full Moon is also the Harvest Moon – we should look to see what we’ve individually or collectively ready to have harvested in our lives… so look back to the New Moon on September 8^th to see what seeds we might have planted!

Then, on Saturday, September 25^th, the radiant life-giver Sun will square off with extreme and powerful Pluto – and we should be absolutely ready to release anything that’s holding us back – whether it’s thinking, emotions, people, places or things… this is another major turning point in our transformation…

If we can avoid confrontations… that would be a very good thing.  Locking horns will get us absolutely nowhere fast…and will just take up a lot of our valuable time and energy.  We need to assess any challenges as calmly as possible – and be prepared to walk away – for just the moment, or otherwise….

Now this week, I want to talk about how and where Venus’s upcoming retrograde will affect each sign. She won’t actually officially move into her retrograde phase until October 8^th – but we’re in the shadow period right now and are beginning to experience it already – and we can get a jump start and use this time to prepare for this new energy… and, as usual, this will apply to your Sun Sign and Ascendant/Rising Sign if you know it…

Aries

During this upcoming period, it will likely become important for you to be mindful of joint resources and other peoples’ money.  It may also be a good time to consider releasing old, dusty or worn out ‘things’ in your life and replace them with frisky new things.

Taurus
Your close partnerships may need a second or third looksee and you may find yourself taking a long hard look at what’s really working in your relationship – and just what isn’t.  And make some decisions that will shake things up and begin again.  One way or the other…

Gemini

You’ll be looking for more satisfying ways to take care of your health, your job and how you live your life each day.  Addressing all those seemingly small things, reviewing and revamping personal habits, including eating better, moving more, and getting enough rest, will result in major life changes that will startle you!

Cancer
Things that bring you joy and happiness will be up for review – and you may be reassessing the romantic situation in your life – and considering what needs to change.  You may also be ready to drop things and move into a new way of creating in your life.

Leo
Not only your physical home will come up for a hard look, but your inner world as well.  You’ll be assessing – and reassessing – the security you have, or don’t have, and redefining where you feel truly at home – and how to get there – and seeing and choosing new goals, inner and outer ones.

Virgo
You may feel called to pull in the welcome mat now, and discover that less is more in the social side of your life.  Walks in nature may suddenly appeal more than having a busy calendar – and may actually help you get clear and accomplish goals you forgot you had.

Your finances and those things you value – or thought you valued – will be getting your attention.  And you may and probably will be assessing how and where you earn your dollars – and whether it truly satisfies you.  Are you having fun doing what you do?  And you’ll be deciding what you really really do want in your life?

Retrospection and introspection will pull you to new places.  And there are likely people, places or things behind the scenes working in your favor that you aren’t aware of yet.  Look within and hold off deciding who or what you want until the information arrives on your front doorstep, not the back one.

Hello World! …SkyeWatch Energy Report for the Week of August 22nd, 2010

So… we’ve got the wind at our backs, we’re holding onto our hats, here’s the week ahead in eight minutes or less …

and this then is for the week beginning Sunday, August 22^nd,  2010…

.  .  .  .  .

Well… fortunately – and gratefully – we’ve arrived at a much softer energy now.  And though all of the squirrelly energy is certainly not gone for good – we have a very welcome breather now.

As of Friday, August 20^th, Mercury is now officially retrograde.  And also this week, the Sun moves from fiery Leo to meticulous Virgo – and we have a mystical Pisces Full Moon coming up … so the energy around us should be a LOT gentler this week!

And the theme this week is balance…

With so much Virgo and Mercury in the air, we’re being surrounded by a spirit of contemplation and offered an opportunity for reconsideration now.   And whether we like it or not, our thoughts will probably drift to getting organized and tidying things up.  Especially after the last few raucous months there could be a lot that needs re-thinking or re-stacking in our lives!

And we shouldn’t be surprised if we resume studies or decide to complete some business or writing we began a few months ago – or if people we haven’t seen for quite a while re-surface in some way.

And we’ll also likely be drawn – or at least be thinking about – health, diet and fitness…

Mercury will be retrograde now till September 12^th, and he’ll remain in his ‘shadow’ period until September 26^th – when we’ll be totally out of the retrograde.  So, during these next three weeks especially, we need to be mindful of our computers, computer data, and our vehicles.  And remain flexible in our plans and appointments!  Things could waffle a little… and it’s not too late to back up our data and give our vehicles a once-over!   And if we MUST purchase computers, vehicles or other big-ticket items, of course DO IT!  But read ALL the small print – and be prepared that there may need to be some kind of “adjustment” to anything we begin for these three weeks!

Then, Saturday, August 21^st, Saturn will square off with Pluto, and there could be a general lack of cooperation or even some antagonism in the air.  This is another one of those days when we can find greater ease in our lives by not hanging on too tight, and letting go of things, situations – or people –who no longer serve our highest good – or we theirs…  Otherwise, if we don’t let go willingly, we could find those things taken away by some degree of force down the road.

And also on August 21^st, the Sun will oppose and face off with the Asteroid Chiron – he’s also known as The Wounded Healer – and, coupled with the Saturn/Pluto opposition, we may find ourselves caught up in fear of losing our creative selves to the necessity of healing in some way.  We may be forced to take care of ourselves or someone around us in a way that brings us clarity to know what we really need in our lives.  If we can find balance here, healing of very old fears and resistance can be the result.   And this aspect promises that we won’t have to do it all alone.  But we may need to step up and ask for that help!

Then, Sunday, August 22^nd, the Sun begins his travels through earthy, practical Virgo… And we could feel invigorated to take a look at what needs tidying up.  What needs to be cleaned out – in our homes, our closets, and in our bodies!  We’ll have supportive energy to get practical and efficient.  And for this month, working hard, beginning a rock-hard exercise program, and even adopting a pet – will receive the blessing and encouragement of the heavens – and any of those things that we begin now will pay off a lot easier and a lot quicker.  And since Virgo is also about service – looking around to do a Random Act of Kindness will also make a deposit to our spiritual or karmic bank accounts!

And then, Tuesday, August 24^th, we have the magical Full Moon in Pisces.

This is the ‘Harvest’ Full Moon and it gives us the opportunity to truly ‘harvest’ something in our lives through action, but this IS a Pisces Full Moon – so we’ll probably we seeking a balance between the act of Harvesting, and the ability to so easily connect with the flow of creative inspiration and intuitive guidance available to us.   Once again, to reap the rewards – and Harvest – of this Full Moon, we’re being asked to find a balance.

Then late Wednesday, August 25^th, the meticulous Virgo Sun trines mighty Pluto, and we can feel confident and self-assured in our chosen directions.  Today, we can KNOW that everything is and will be okay.  And especially if we’ve maintained our balance over the course of the week, we can be assured of the success of any projects we begin today.

Now this week, because this Mercury retrograde period is a very significant one, I want to re-visit how and where it will affect each sign – and this will apply to your Sun Sign and Rising/Ascendant sign, if you know it…

Aries: Your work environment, daily routine, and health may be up for review and reorganization.  Make sure your work is solid and sorted.  You may find yourself re-thinking, reconsidering any or all of these things.

Taurus: A romantic someone from the past may make a return appearance!  Or you may reconsider and review your current romantic relationship!   Re-think what you do for pleasure and enjoyment, too!  Change things around for best results!

Gemini: Home and family life may need some reorganization.  Be sure to be clear in your communications in or about your home.  You also have an opportunity to review or rearrange something in your home.

Cancer: All types of communications could be confusing.  And you especially want to keep an eye on your vehicle.  And be sure you’re dotting all the i’s and crossing your t’s on any documents you need to sign.

Leo: Think before spending!  Payments may be delayed, and/or you may also receive money due you from the past!  And it’s a great time to begin reviewing ideas for new sources of income!

Virgo: Your personal life is up for a review and re-think – and you may even be thinking about changing your appearance. Think about it – but don’t act on it yet!  You’ll probably change your mind!

Libra: Secrets from the past may be revealed and come up for review.  Pay attention to your dreams – you could receive some valuable hidden information!

Scorpio: Your friends may complicate things – or you may confuse them!  It’s really important to communicate clearly with associates to avoid misunderstandings.  You may also find a friend returns to your life.

Sagittarius: Your career may feel stalled for these few weeks, and you may find yourself rethinking your career direction.  This is the time to THINK not ACT!  And be sure to speak clearly with superiors and co-workers.

Capricorn: You have a possible opportunity for travel or learning.  Some idea you once found delicious can resurface, but double check plans, especially if you find yourself traveling.

Aquarius: Matters related to joint income could return for another look.  Consider offers carefully – especially if finances involve any kind of partnership.  Wait a few weeks to sign any documents if you can.
